Medusyne is a queer collective founded in 2018, taking over again the Cour Mably in the historical center of Bordeaux for the European Heritage Days during a whole week-end of festival.
Inspired by the Farnese Atlas statue carrying a globe on its shoulders, the stage backdrop invites the public to gather around a vibrant and diverse program (with an inclusive and empowering twist, for curious audiences).
(FR) Medusyne Medusyne, collectif queer fondé en 2018, investit à nouveau la Cour Mably dans le centre historique de Bordeaux à l'occasion des JEPM (Journées Européennes du Patrimoine et du Matrimoine) pour un week-end entier de festival. Inspiré par la statue de l’Atlas Farnèse portant un globe sur ses épaules, le fond de scène invite le public à se réunir autour d’une programmation à la fois vivante et variée (avec un twist graphique plus inclusif, fédérateur d’un public curieux).
Inspired by the Farnese Atlas statue carrying a globe on its shoulders, the stage backdrop invites the public to gather around a vibrant and diverse program (with an inclusive and empowering twist for curious audiences). The imposing nature of the backdrop highlights and encourages the artists thought the show, day and night: concerts, DJ sets, performances, panel discussions, and children's talks.
Inspiré par la statue de l’Atlas Farnèse portant un globe sur ses épaules, le fond de scène invite le public à se réunir autour d’une programmation à la fois vivante et variée (avec un twist graphique plus inclusif et fédérateur pour un public curieux). Le caractère imposant du fond de scène met en lumière et encourage les artistes tout au long de la programmation de jour comme de nuit : concerts, DJ sets, performances, tables rondes et lectures pour enfants.
As a way of gathering the community of Medusyne and locals from Bordeaux, volunteers have been mobilized around the project during art workshops, to paint and assembly parts of the decor. A great occasion to discover art practices back from the summer holidays, sharing tips and music in an energizing and caring ambiance.
